When: November 6 – 28, 2010
Where: GEEKS 6747 Greenleaf Ave., Ste. A,
Whittier, CA 90601

Artist Reception: November 6, 2010 at 6pm – 10pm

California, USA, October 24, 2010: Agimat Entertainment is to launch its latest exhibition, SWEET + EVIL, on November 6, with a costume party full of surprises for friends, fans and media.

J-Pop artist, Stephanie Yanez, will perform with NERF guitarist, Polo; and the beats of DJ Todd Tochioka will rock a night which promises a frighteningly entertaining experience for all.

Guests are encouraged to dress SWEET or EVIL in the style of Agimat’s cartoon creations – ninjas, robots, lolitas, goths, mummies etc – and early “monsters” will receive limited goody bags on arrival.

Themed nibbles, cute character cupcakes by Party Flavors, and beverages will be served throughout the evening (or until they run out!).

SWEET + EVIL is a free art exhibition showcasing Agimat Entertainment’s distinctive arts, custom toys and mobile games development. It will also see the launch of the studio’s forthcoming game, E-VILLE, the successor to its debut app, Shadow Candy: SUGAR RUSH! (which featured in the App Store’s ‘What’s Hot’ category within a week of launch).

Small town, E-VILLE, is home to sole human survivor, Jim Bob, and a host of terrifying (yet endearingly so) monsters – Vampy, Skully, Mumee, Wolfie and Franky – who will insist on coming out to play and who Jim Bob, to survive, must keep at bay. Agimat will give out the app for FREE to the first 30 iPhone/iPad players!

SWEET + EVIL will also see the arrival on U.S. soil of Spanish toy manufacturer, DEEGO Toys. Agimat, who in just 12 months have built a solid fanbase using social media, used Twitter and Facebook to invite artists from every corner of the globe to customize a limited number of DEEGO toys as characters from Agimat’s catalogue.

These artworks, each unique and created by a different artist, will remain in the exhibition after launch night and can be viewed until the exhibition closes at Geeks on November 28th. Custom toys will be transferred to Designer Con on November 20th at Pasadena Convention Center. New papertoys will also be introduced by Agimat. For distribution inquiry contact agimatinc (at) gmail (dot) com.

Exclusive limited edition Agimat posters will be available for sale at the show, signed by artist, aRVie Villanueva. A percentage of sales proceeds will go to charity.
